History of College

The college has been established by the prestigious society called Karnataka Lingayat Education Society, Belagavi in the year 1968, in the name of his holiness Shri Shivayogi Murughendra Swamiji, Athani as Shri Shivayogi Murughendra Swamiji Arts, Science and Commerce College, Athani. It is a multi faculty college imparting education for educationally, socially, politically, economically and culturally backward students of rural, border and draught prone area of North Karnataka.

The college is excelling not only in academics but also in co-curricular and extracurricular activities. We provide wide exposure to our students by organizing both in-house and out bound training programmes, workshops, guest lectures, seminars, remedial classes, projects, certificate courses, presentations, rallies, legal and health awareness programmes.
