About Us
The Department of Computer Science was established in the year 2001-02 and B.Sc(PMCS) in 2020-21. The Department offered Computer Application as one of the core subjects for B.Com in the annual pattern for the academic year 2001-02 and B.A & B.Sc IV semester in 2006-07. Presently, there are 2 teaching faculty actively engaged in teaching, administrative and research. The Department has been preparing students to apply their knowledge and skills in the development, implementation, and use of computer software and hardware to explore a concentration in digital history. Upon graduation, students will be able to build and manage digital archives, apply data and textual analysis techniques to historical texts, and create innovative ways to represent and interpret historical events.

Mission
To impart and strengthen fundamental knowledge of students, enabling them to cultivate professional skills, entrepreneurial and research mindset with right attitude and aptitude.
Programme / Course Outcome
- Employability: It helps gain the knowledge to prepare official document such as letters, purchase order etc. and it provide employment opportunity in all the fields.
- Problem analysis: Analyze complex problems and formulate reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
- Database: It possible for end users to create, read, update and delete data in a database.
- Design/development of solutions: It helps to development of application software and maintains day to day transactions/records with an appropriate manner.
- Communication: To communicate effectively on various activities such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation and make effective presentations.
- Eternal learning: Recognize the need for, and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in the broadest context of technological change.
- Technology: Students will be able to build and manage digital archives, apply data and textual analysis techniques.
- Cyber Crime: Students will be aware of Cyber Crime and its issues related to the modern technology.
Objectives of the Department:
- To impart high quality professional training at the graduate level with an emphasis on basic principles of computer science.
- To impart moral and ethical values, and interpersonal skills to the students.
- To empower the students with the required skills to solve the complex technological problems of modern society and also provide them with a framework for promoting collaborative and multidisciplinary activities.
