ABOUT US:
The Department of Economics was established in the year 1968. In the beginning Economics was taught as a Major Subject. It was being taught as optional Subject from Jun 1992 under the curriculum of K.U, Dharwad. It was being taught as optional subject under modified curriculum of semester system from June 2005. From 2010-11 onwards the curriculum Affiliated by the Rani Channamma university Belagavi.
VISION:
“Economics for a way of life”.
MISSION:
“To Motivate the knowledge of Economics among the Students to become Socially responsible graduates”.
OBJECTIVES:
- To Make the Students well-versed with Indian Economy.
- Problems measures and Prospectus.
- To Understand the Economic Planning Control of Banking
- RBI Policies and Union Budget.
- To Prepare the Students to set up and manage the Small Scale Industries.
- To Make the Students to Understand the Various Economic Problems.
OUTCOME:
- The students of Economics are able to get the knowledge of statistical tools used in the analysis of data and the graphical, descriptive representation data.
- The students are able to conduct socio and economic research and projects.
- The students are able to understand the Indian Economic system.
- The students are able to understand the basic concepts of Economics
- The students are able to understand the growth of Indian Economy and World Economy.
- The students also develop entrepreneurship skills and management techniques
- The students are able to understand the firms production processing and decisions.
