ABOUT US:
History of the Department: Established in June 1968, taught as a Major subject in 1968 - 1990
- From 2005, being taught as a Semester System Subject Affi. to KUD.
- From 2010-2011 onwards affiliated to RCUB.
- 2020 -21 CBCS syllabus is introduced by RCUB from 2021-22 N E P Introduced.
VISION:
“To sensitize the learner's about the History and culture and make them worthy citizen and imbibe Global skill to face the competitive world”.
MISSION:
“Arrange sensitization programs to create awareness in organizing tours to historical sites and conducting extension activities to develop global skill among learners”.
OBJECTIVES:
- To impart high quality knowledge at the graduate level to face global challenges with an emphasis on Historical knowledge.
- To impart moral and ethical values, and interpersonal skills to the students.
- To empower the students with the required skills to solve the future problems of modern society and to promote higher studies and various sector in Government job opportunities.
OUTCOME:
- Students can able to face the various competitive examinations like IAS, IPS, IFS and KAS.
- Students can Able to understand the Historical importance of their respective areas.
- To empower the students with the required skills to face the global challenges of modern society and also provide them with a framework for promoting higher studies, and to know multidisciplinary activities, and to join as a director & guide in central and state archeology.
