DEPARTMENT OF KANNADA
ABOUT US:
The Department has been established in 1968. At the Beginning Kannada was introduced as one of the Basic subject. Kannada was being taught as one of the Major Subjects from 1977 -78. Since 1991 -92 Kannada is being taught as an optional and basic subject. The semester system was introduced by Karnataka University, Dharwad in 2005 -06. Curriculum of Rani Channamma University, Belagavi is adopted from 2010-11.CBCS Syllabus was introduced in 2020-21 for B.A., B.Com, & B.Sc. first semester.

“Create an Awareness of the Glorious Culture and Literary Legacy of Kannada among the Students”.
MISSION
“To enhance the language and communication skill student and sharpen their comprehension and expression of Kannada language”.
OBJECTIVES

To impart the Knowledge in language and Kannada Literature to the learners and equip them with the skills to meet the challenges in the field of Kannada.

To impart and motivate them to learn the state language with ease and confidence enabling for better communication skill.
